Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Law and the Silk Road Institute for International and Comparative Law (SRIICL) are pleased to announce that “China and International Commercial Dispute Resolution” International Workshop and Roundtable on International Commercial Law is now open to application.
The event, which will be held during 10-15 May 2013 in Xi'an, China, is third of the Silk Road International Workshop and Roundtable Series on International Economic Law held annually between 2011 and 2013. The three workshops are dedicated to WTO law, international investment law and international commercial law respectively.
The event is open to:
1. Graduate and undergraduate students in international commercial law or related subjects;
2. Practitioners in international commercial law or related subjects.
Registration fee:
The standard registration fee is US$ 200.
Scholarship:
The scholarship includes full exemption of the registration fee. Scholarships are granted on a merit basis. Applicants who wish to be considered for the scholarship should send a short letter giving reasons for application, along with other application documents.
Certificate of Attendance:
Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Law and the SRIICL award all participants to the programme who have regularly attended courses a Certificate of Attendance.
Application:
1. Admissions would be granted on a basis of academic criteria and first-come-first-served basis.
2. Application documents checklist:
(1) A filled-out registration form (downloadable from http://www.losmejorescalidadprecio.com);
(2) A curriculum vitae;
(3) A letter of recommendation from a professor of international law;
(4) A short letter giving reasons for the application of scholarship, if applicable.
3. Applicants are invited to submit the application documents electronically to icac.xjtu@gmail.com.
4. Applicants are responsible for arranging their recommendation to be sent electronically to icac.xjtu@gmail.com.
5. The closing date of the application is 10 April 2013. This closing date also applies to recommendation.
6. Applicants would be informed of the results by email before 20 April 2013.
Visa application:
Please start the procedure at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country as soon as you receive your official admission letter from us. Visa fees shall be payable by the attendees.
Travel & Accommodation:
All costs incurred from travelling and accommodation shall be payable by the attendees. Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Law is not responsible for providing accommodation to attendees, but is pleased to provide necessary assistance in arranging hotel accommodation. The cost is approximately US$ 50 per person per night for single room, and US$ 25 per person per night for double room.
